A Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) also known as a Subject Access Request [SAR] is a formal request individuals can make to organizations under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. It allows you to access personal data that a company or public body holds about you, including how it is processed and shared.
​
Sending a DSAR is beneficial for several reasons. It helps you understand what data an organization holds about you, ensure its accuracy, and check whether it is being used lawfully.
​
Always send your Notices signed for orange postal sticker and keep the receipt your Notice has now been legally served and you can prove postage where they are unable to.
It can also be useful in legal disputes, complaints, or concerns about privacy violations. Organizations must respond within one month, providing a copy of your data free of charge unless the request is excessive.

Dear HR/Payroll Team,
I am writing to formally request access to my personal data under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Specifically, I request all information related to the Attachment of Earnings (AOE) order being applied to my wages.
I would like copies of the following:
1. A copy of the court order under which my wages are being deducted. If no court order exists, please confirm this in writing.
2. The specific legislation or legal authority under which Resdev Ltd is processing this AOE, particularly if the deductions are based on your Council ,Council Ltd's evidence rather than a court order.
3. All correspondence and documents relating to the AOE, including:
The original order received by Resdev Ltd.
Any supporting evidence provided by your Council Council Ltd, the Court, or any other relevant authority.
Any internal notes or decisions made by Resdev Ltd regarding this order.
4. Any communications between your company and ....
.Council Ltd or the Court regarding my AOE.
5. Details of the decision-making process, including:
Why employers Ltd is acting on your Council Council Ltd's evidence instead of a court order.
Any internal policies or legal justifications used for processing the AOE.
6. Payroll records showing deductions made under this AOE, including:
When deductions started.
How amounts were calculated.
Where the deducted amounts have been sent.
7. Any legal basis or justification under which Resdev Ltd is processing my earnings deductions without a court-issued AOE.
Under Article 15 of the UK GDPR, I request that you provide this information within one month from the date of this request. If any part of my request cannot be fulfilled, please provide a detailed explanation.
